The foundation’s mission is to provide a little relief from the daily stress of having a child with “special needs” such as a life-threatening illness, or a mental or physical disability, by taking the entire family out for a day of fun and fishing on the water. Maryland Therapeutic Riding- Although this is not a fishing site, the work that this organization produces touches the Old Captain’s heart. Currently the program is serving “special needs” individuals and soon will initiate a program called “Horses for Heroes” which will serve our injured military personnel returning from overseas.
