The Frayed Knot

The “Frayed Knot” is a 25’ Parker Deep Vee Sport Cabin powered by a 250 HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard and a 9.9 Yamaha kicker motor for those slow trolling applications. The “Frayed Knot” carries all USCG safety, fire and flotation devices as required as well as all insurances.

Electronics include a Garmin color GPS, Furuno Navnet 1622 which includes radar, fish finder and GPS, Icom 504 marine band radio, Cobra CB radio, Lewmar windlass and a Raymarine remote auto pilot.

Fishing equipment onboard is all “top shelf” brands. Okuma T 20L reels, Okuma T 30 2- speed reels, Shimano Tekota 800 reels are paired with Shimano Tallus and Telavera rods, Backyard Custom Built Rods and St. Croix for trolling. Light tackle reels are Okuma Aveon and Inspira spinning reels on Backyard Custom Built Rods and St. Croix rods. My lines of choice are Sufix for monofilament and Power Pro for super braid.

All trolling lures are custom made for Captain Wayne by Tyler’s Tackle in Chesapeake Beach, Md.
